Course details

  • Arrival Time: Arrive at least 15 minutes before start time

  • Course Length: Allow roughly 4 hours.   

  • Minimum Age: 12 & up. 

  • Identification: Adults – drivers licence.  Kids – birth certificates. Other ID is also acceptable. 

  • Parking: Available at the venue (via Brisbane St).

  • Food & drink: Food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed throughout the course. A break is allocated within the course.
  • Young adults: Students aged up to 16 years must have a parent at the course (whom also must have ID) to sign them in and complete the paperwork.

The NSW boat & PWC licences

The NSW general boat licence permits people aged 12 years and over to operate a boat for recreational purposes on NSW waters, at a speed of 10 knots (18.5 Kilometres per hour) or more.

The PWC licence allows you to operate a Personal Watercraft at any speed. It is an upgrade on the NSW boat licence and can be completed at the same course.  

Neither licence can be used for the operation of a commercial vessel or for commercial purposes.

Who delivers the course?

Training is delivered by Boating Licence Course’s own qualified, experienced and vetted training team.
